Art
JAE’s fine arts classroom is a special place where creativity is encouraged and celebrated. Our kindergarten through fifth grade fine arts curriculum is designed to introduce beginning art foundations by providing exposure to art history in a studio setting.
Through both individual and group art projects, students will utilize the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, form, value and composition) to create two and three-dimensional works. Our primary focus is to deepen students’ observational and expressive skills by observing, analyzing, and interpreting artwork in a variety of contexts and to extend their knowledge of both new and familiar media.
Students will be graded based on the level of effort shown and work completed.
