Fourth Grade
A Year Of Collaboration & Ownership!
The fourth grade students at Jack Anderson Elementary are encouraged to think beyond basic application and develop a deeper understanding of reading, writing, and math concepts. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning through exposure to a rigorous curriculum that works to integrate science and social studies standards. Discovery Quest has become a well-known tradition in which students research and provide oral presentations on a variety of topics that further extend and enrich their learning. Collaborative work, along with the use of technology, lead students to thrive throughout the year. Students develop a sense of compassion as they interact with others and recognize the need for collaboration in accomplishing goals. Our goal is for students to increase their confidence and develop a sense of independence while learning in a dynamic atmosphere.
