Weekly Assignments
SPELLING: Words will be sent home that Monday. . Final test on Friday. Please help your child with the words so they can make a 100 on Friday. It would be a great idea if you would sit your child down and have them write out the words like they do on a test, rather than spell them aloud. Then you could see if they do any backward letters or use capital letters where they do not belong.
. Final tests will be on Fridays.
Letters incorrectly made, backward letters or use of capital letters where they do not belong will be counted as wrong. Use of proper capitaliztion and punctuation is the goal.
For the first few months, I will be dictating sentences to them. Everyday we go over the use of capital letters and correct puctuation so they should use this for writing their sentences.
Later on they will now be writing their own sentences with a spelling word in each sentence. I will tell them to write a telling sent. and also to write an asking sentence. Use of proper words and puctuation count as a grade in language.
