Note from the Teacher
Dear Parents,
We are in the last six weeks of first grade!!
Your child has learned so much this year and we
will keep on working until the very last day!~
I expect the boys and girls to be doing more independent work.
Please remember that the most important thing you can do at home to help your child be a better student is to READ, Read and Read some more!!
THANKS so much for all of the goodies you sent in for Jason's Get Well basket!!
You were so kind and thoughtful!
Sincerely,
THANKS for the parents who went on our
field trip to the zoo!! We had a great time!~

reviewing or studying for a test 5 minutes before your child goes to bed might get him/her ahead .

Weekly assignments:

Saxon Math: Side B is to be completed at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Return to school the next morning.
Practice reading words from vocabulary list.
Read A.R. books
Practice Spelling words.

Accelerated Readers:
A.R.folders will be sent home every day. Your child will read his/her book to a parent.
Parents need sign the reading log in the folder. I will check the folders for signatures. Your child will then be ready to take an A.R. test. Reading at home is the
