

Mrs. Schweinsberg is from Wheelersburg, a very small town in south central Ohio near Portsmouth, right on the
Ohio River, bordering Kentucky and West Virginia. She graduated from Wheelersburg High
School, then came to Nashville for two years at Free Will Baptist Bible College. (She always planned to come back and live in the Nashville area.) She transferred to Bowling Green State University, near Toledo, Ohio, to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Deaf Education and Elementary Education. She also obtained her Masters Degree from University of Rio Grande as an Intervention Specialist.
Mrs. Schweinsberg began her teaching career in primary level Deaf Education in 1980, team teaching with the pre-school classroom teacher for 12 years. She then moved to middle school for 1 year and to high school for the last 14 years. All of her 27 previous years of teaching were at Green Local Schools in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. She was employed by South Central Ohio Educational Service Center. Mrs. Schweinsberg also taught Deaf Studies and Interpreter Training Classes at Ohio University and Shawnee State University.
Mrs. Schweinsberg enjoys teaching very much! She loves teaching in Tennessee now at Jack Anderson Elementary and looks forward to a great future here! She is also looking forward to getting to know all the wonderful students at Jack Anderson Elementary and teaching some sign language classes to them. Go Jaguars!!!
Mrs. Schweinsberg is married to her husband, Rick. She has one son, Micah, who is a professional Christian musician in Nashville. Her hobbies are art, scrapbooking, reading and music. She also likes to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes football team win, especially when they beat Florida and Michigan (Sorry, Mrs. Bostwick.)! Go, Bucks!!!
