Note from the Teachers                                                              

Welcome back!!  We are so excited to see all of our old friends and to meet our new friends.  When your child comes to computer, we will be working in Orchard to improve our math and language arts skills.  We will also be working in Typing Tutor, Letterbugs, and Coloring Book.  We look forward to a wonderful year.  Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions.

The Computer Curriculum

The Computer Curriculum is a long-range plan that teaches basic strategies to the Kindergarten children and continuously builds on those skills through the Fifth Grade.  Our goal is that each Fifth Grade child is proficient in six key areas and can use those skills to create projects and presentations, as they will need to do throughout their educational and professional careers.  The six key areas are:  Computer Basics, Keyboarding, Word Processing, Software, Internet, and Graphics. 

Important Notes

We need for EVERY CHILD to bring in their own headphones to use during Computer.  Please put them in a ziplock bag with your child's name on it. 

 Please remember to sign the Internet Agreement and turn this in to your teacher.  Your child will need one on file in order to do research on the internet.  We also let the children play games on Disney, Nickolodeon, PBS Kids and Cartoon Network as a reward at least once a six weeks.
