Our Beliefs

Students are valued as unique individuals.

All students deserve to learn in a caring, safe, and structured environment

A well-rounded education includes fine arts, technology instruction, physical education, and character development.

Effective education is a collaborative effort involving home, school, and community.

Our Mission

The mission of Jack Anderson Elementary is to create a solid educational foundation where students master their academic skills in a safe and orderly environment thus enabling them to be independent and responsible, to have a desire to learn, and to become productive citizens.

Our Vision

We envision a school where all students are empowered with self-confidence and possess a positive attitude toward education, fueled by a desire to learn.

Principal - Dr. Nancy Glover This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Dr. Glover believes in the worth of each and every child. She provides structure for the students and encourages them to have self-discipline and self-respect. She supports the "No-Bullying" efforts.

Dr. Glover has worked in the schools for 25+ years. She previously taught almost every grade before working in administration.  Her hobbies are photography, cooking, reading and writing. (Don't tell anyone, but she has a blue Harley trike that she likes to ride.  The pink and purple one is now for sale.)

She believes that students learn best when they are happy, respected and feel that their opinions are important.  "There are many ways to show a child that he/she is valued and loved even though you may not agree with an specific action or response."

Assistant Principal - Karen Walters This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Karen Walters has been involved with the education of elementary age children for 18+ years in the classroom and with library services.

A positive school climate, high expectations, supportive parents and a genuine personal interest and caring for each student will produce learners who achieve.  All components of our school, academic and nonacademic, play a vital role in the education of our children.

She is involved with several community volunteer organizations and enjoys outdoor activities.

Teacher's Assistants - The Teacher's Assistants at Jack Anderson are an extremely important factor to the academic success of the school. They are a caring group of para professionals who have the best interest of each child at heart. They assist the teachers by reducing daily tasks and activities and tutoring one-on-one or in small groups. Jack Anderson is truly proud of the dedicated para professionals that are a major part of our overall success.
